Traquair is celebrating 60 years of brewing this February when Peter Maxwell Stuart, 20th Laird of Traquair, put through brew No1 of Traquair House Ale. Maybe you still have a bottle?

in 2023 Traquair ouse won medals in the prestigous London Beer Competition with over 1,000 beers entered from all over the world.

Deep reddish-amber/brown in color; full, velvet-like body; medium dry and powerful, with an earthy hint of peat character. Malt flavors and fruity finish show a subtle hint of fermentation in wooden vessels.

Jacobite Ale

 

A strong ale based on an ancient recipe, Jacobite Ale is spiced with hops as well as another traditional and ancient seasoning: coriander. Deep brown color; rich aroma of spice, chocolate and leather; full, creamy body.
