Eikoh Sake Brewery Inc. (Eikoh Shuzo), founded in 1897,  is a traditional sake brewery founded in 1897 and located in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. The brewery is renowned for using local ingredients and water from the Takanawa mountain range to produce high-quality, handcrafted sake and fruit liqueurs. 

 

Eikoh produces high-quality sake and liqueurs made from local Ehime fruits like mandarin oranges, yuzu, plum, and kiwi.

 

The brewery operates with the spirit of "brew as if raising one's own child," focusing on traditional methods and time-intensive craftsmanship. 

 

Eikoh Sake Brewery has won the highest honor, the gold award, at the Annual Japan Sake Awards multiple times since 1989. In recent years, they have expanded their focus to include a popular range of additive-free fruit liqueurs, leveraging the region's status as a "fruit kingdom".

A blend of japanese vodka, plum, & sugar. great taste plum wine from shikoku island. using only the best plum available, the brew-master created a sensational plum wine. each year the sales of this wine doubled last five years. in 2007, the plum wine production surpassed the traditional sake production.

 

Eikoh plum wine is a light and rounded plum wine from ehime prefecture (shikoku) that is pleasant to drink. the fresh and fruity nose is reminiscent of ripened plum, marzipan and cassis. delightfully smooth and soft in the palate this plum wine is ideal for being enjoyed straight.

 

It is very sweet and fruity. cool alternative to ice wine.

 

Nanko-ume, grown in large, round plums under the abundant sunlight of ehime, shikoku, is known nationwide as a high-quality plum. "kuramoto no umeshu" uses high-quality, large-size or larger nanko plums, and is carefully brewed with authentic rice shochu distilled in-house from the prefecture's sake rice "matsuyama mitsui". a professional plum liqueur made by a toji with the skill and uncompromising craftsmanship that has been honed over many years of sake brewing.
